Bigger Than The Plate – A personal interpretation

Cross Channel sausage, chips and beans

A new exhibition at The Victoria and Albert museum in London – entitled “Bigger Than The Plate”, The museum invited 70 artists to explore the politics, the pleasure and the future of food.

To mark the exhibition, here are a few food clichés, none of them essentially pleasurable. Everything eaten by me.

Pork and lentils
Mystery dish in a military mess
Veal and mashed potato
Unfinished fish
Canteen breakfast
Unfinished English
Toast and peanut butter
Microwave for one
Beans and cigarettes

Don’t forget these

A Cup of Teeth
Jaws or Teeth In Blue

Bon Apetit
