We should wait until Twelfth Night, but there are those businesses, shops, banks and public institutions where Christmas has run its course. Down with the decoration and out with the tree. Sling it out on the street or take to to a recycling centre. I take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Unchristmas from downtown small-town France, even if in the various stores, they are still peddling the festive playlist with Dean Martin warbling away “It”s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.” I think “mum and dad will be so glad when school will start again.” Return to reality is scheduled for Monday 8 January.
