Hooray the circus is in town! Miserable clowns, mangey animals … I’ve never been a big circus fan, but the circus comes to town twice a year and people come in droves. However, every year, the circus moves further out of town, and now the big top goes up on the car park of an out–of-town shopping mall or  piece of wasteground out in the edgelands. Here are a few circus clichés – filters chosen to reflect my circus feelings and also the misery of an edgelands circus.
